Lighting reflects landmark’s beauty
At the 242-room, luxury Park Hyatt, Hangzhou, China, Inverse Lighting has used light and shadow to reference the landscape of the former imperial capital and its famously beautiful West Lake.
Lighting is sensitively integrated throughout the interior of the hotel. Its large guestrooms and suites include custom-designed decorative elements such as backlit bed-heads whose cherry-blossom shadow pattern gently glows when lit.
The exacting design process included creating mock-up rooms to test the interior lighting concept which was refined and revised several times by the team based jointly in London and Hong Kong.
